Top of the Range Facilities
Located at the back of Wanneroo on a 50 acre block we provide a retreat from your busy day to day life. Just 5 minutes from Wanneroo town centre and 10 minutes from Joondalup, we are easy to access yet you can feel like you are a million miles away!
We have the only indoor arena North of Perth meaning that we can run lessons in all weathers, we also have a large outdoor arena, as well as a therapy and obstacle arena.
Happy, Healthy, well cared for horses
Most of our lesson and therapeutic horses are retired racehorses, either pacers and trotters or thoroughbreds. We take on several from trainers when they retire from their racing career and also rescue several horses each year.
We work with these horses to retrain and re-educate them to help them transition into their next phase of life as a ridden, pleasure horse. We also take on a few rescues that need special care and attention to get them back to full health.
You will also notice that all of our horses live in herds, in the paddock 24/7. We are very passionate about ensuring that all of our horses are met. Horses are by their very nature a herd animal, highly social and their happiness relies upon being about to see, touch and interact with other horses. Sure they will fight occasionally, but what family doesn’t!
A safe, friendly and supportive environment to learn
We set up Wanneroo Riding & Therapeutic Centre to be a friendly supportive place anyone can come and spend time with these beautiful animals. Either take lessons or simply spend time and learn from these majestic creatures.
We are not a competition stables and have no expectation of our riders. If you simply want to and joy a relaxed ride, as long as you are happy, we will teach you have to communicate clearly and ride to ensure comfort for the horse.
